2019 LANDSCAPE DESIGN TRENDS #5
THE SINTERED STONE
FOR NEW URBAN AND RESIDENTIAL CONTEXTS
Sintered stone is increasingly used in public and private projects of any kind. In this fifth edition of our editorial, we present four recently completed projects.
FUTURE STEPPING STONES
Stone Gres stepping stones “Passo Giapponese” are a faithful reproduction of natural stone but more durable and resistant as they are made of porcelain stoneware. In the pictures above and to the side we see an example of one of our clients who placed the stepping stones in his villa in the Canton of Zurich. A incomparable product to the natural stone classics for it is more resistant and durable. Below there is an example from another customer who has placed the product in his villa in Tuscany.
LASTING PAVING WITH THE ANTIQUE LOOK
Problems of natural stone or concrete paving are commonplace, as the stains and yellowing of the slabs increase over time.
Sintered stone is the answer to these problems, even in complex weather conditions such as those in England. In the photo the Antique paving in Sussex (UK) is shown.
A SQUARE COVERED BY RESISTANT PAVING
For public lands where pedestrian mobility is high or the area is drive-over, the strenght and durability of the paving is fundamental. Sintered stone in 2 or 3 cm thickness is the best choice.
In the photo is shown an example of a square in Taipei (Taiwan) where different colors of the collection L’ALTRA PIETRA have been laid.
