Quality, environment and ethics

 
 

Sustainability and product quality are the fundamental aspects of our business strategy. We try to operate in a socially and ecologically responsible way, minimizing the impact of our activities on the environment and the community, maintaining a high standard both in terms of quality and social responsibility.
 
We are committed to the continuous search for production solutions that allow us to have high performance from a technical point of view without forgetting environmental and social sustainability. Thanks to our modern systems and those of our suppliers, we operate in constant control of environmental emissions and product quality: most of our products have sustainable quality, long life, no maintenance and can be recycled.
 
To ensure continuity in compliance with the principles of quality and social and environmental sustainability, all collaborators are therefore called to make their contribution, operating in compliance with the duties and procedures established.
 
The essential principle of the company is compliance with the laws and regulations in force in Italy and in all the countries in which it operates and in general it aims to operate with a high ethical and moral value towards its employees, interest, of customers and suppliers and above all for the community.
 
All activities must be carried out in compliance with the principle of honesty, renouncing the pursuit of personal interests.

 

COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

• Operate in full compliance with national and EU laws on environmental protection, maintaining a standard that is always higher than the required parameters;
 
• Keep the management system active and effective ISO 14001;
 
• Operate in compliance with the provisions on safety and adequacy of the work environment, to prevent the risk of accidents;
 
• Commit to the prevention of environmental pollution;
 
• Rationalize the use of resources to avoid waste;
 
• Choose technical solutions that reduce the environmental impact;
 
• Continuously investing in plants, vehicles and equipment, to improve the quality of products and optimize production in order to contain costs and limit the risk of environmental events;
 
• Minimize the consumption of energy and water and the production of waste, favoring its recovery, where possible;
 
• Define environmental objectives and targets, to be integrated with the operational management of the plants and company development programs;
 
• Ensure that the environmental policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels of the organization and that the system is supported by periodic and systematic training and training activities;
 
• Use waste as a resource and generate minimum production waste;
 
• Search for alternative and reusable packaging;
 
• Carefully manage emissions, filters and waste water;
 
• Recycle 100% of process water and recover rainwater to limit the intake of water from the water mains;
 
• Use recycled packaging and packaging with recycled material content;
 
• Self-production of electricity from a solar source through a 500 kW power plant distributed over the three main production sites capable of producing about 70% of the necessary electricity.

• Operate in full compliance with the procedures envisaged by the ISO 9001 quality system;
 
• Support the customer so that the requirements of the product and service offered are respected and satisfy the end user;

• Ensure compliance and safety in the workplace, respecting the dictates of the consolidated act on workplace safety;
 
• Procure and use quality materials and equipment, using products with the appropriate CE marking, where applicable, and technologically advanced;
 
• Analyze and understand the business opportunities and the main risks related to the services and products made by the company;
 
• Work with highly qualified technical personnel with many years of experience in the sector;

COMMITMENT TO THE SOCIAL

CHILD LABOR
Granulati Zandobbio SpA only employs workers who have reached the age of 18 and have already fulfilled their compulsory schooling. It does not tolerate the use of child labor even in the supply chain;
 
COMPULSORY WORK
Granulati Zandobbio SpA refuses forced labor and does not employ personnel against their will or under the threat of punishment. Personnel are free to terminate their employment relationship by giving reasonable notice as defined in the sector national collective bargaining agreement;
 
HEALTH AND SAFETY OF WORKERS
 
Granulati Zandobbio renews its commitment to:
➔ guarantee a safe and healthy workplace in line with current safety laws
➔ keep the risk assessment and management document updated
➔ carry out an adequate training program for all workers
➔ put in place constant communication with all workers.
➔ evaluate the proposals for improvement of the workers
➔ not discriminate against the Workers’ Safety Representative
 
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND RIGHT TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
Granulati Zandobbio spa respects the right of trade union freedom and collective bargaining and does not hinder the election of union representatives or the registration of employees in trade unions.
 
DISCRIMINATION
Granulati Zandobbio guarantees the right to equal wages for workers for the same job and, in general, the right to equal opportunities for all workers. The company strongly opposes any form of discrimination based on race, national or social origin, caste, birth, religion, disability, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, sex, age, marital status, political opinion, etc.
 
DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES
Granulati Zandobbio S.p.A. if necessary, it uses only disciplinary procedures accepted and reported in the National Collective Labor Agreement, in compliance with the Civil Code and the Workers’ Statute.
Furthermore, the company:
➔ promotes working relationships inspired by mutual respect and cooperation
➔ never resort to forms of physical, corporal and mental coercion, verbal offenses or any offense against personal dignity
➔ does not tolerate disciplinary procedures applied to our suppliers that go beyond the contents of the sector national collective bargaining agreement.
 
WORKING HOURS
Granulati Zandobbio has defined working hours in line with the provisions of the National Collective Labor Agreement.
 
REMUNERATION
Granulati Zandobbio guarantees its workers an adequate salary with reference to the provisions of the National Collective Labor Agreement and current legislation, verifying that it is sufficient to allow a decent standard of living for the worker.
 
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS THE COMMUNITY
Granulati Zandobbio SpA is aware of the influence that its activities can have on the conditions, economic and social development and general well-being of the community, as well as the importance of social acceptance of the communities in which it operates. & nbsp;
For this reason, Granulati Zandobbio SpA intends to conduct the activities aimed at achieving the corporate purpose based on social appreciation, in respect of local and national communities, and to support initiatives of cultural and social value in order to obtain an improvement in its reputation and social acceptance. & nbsp;
The company is constantly engaged in social support activities through monetary and product donations, supports amateur sports associations and cultural associations through sponsorships and events open to the community without exclusion, the company is also constantly open to the public through the corporate park exhibition.
